Great stuff, now I don't feel so guilty for having two 223's.

Ive always used a .222 or .223 and over the last 12 months have shot 18 deer with my .223's. I have 3 .223's - more by accident than design - but at least it means that I can have certain loads for...

Yep. Schultz and Larsen. But if you want to shoot rapid fire more than 4 shots carry 2 mags. Accuracy and quality is superb.

If it has a 9" twist I'd go with the 105gr targex, they kill ridiculously well out to 600yards plus. If not then the 95gr ssts aren't a bad price compared to so options and kill fairly well too....

Goats and fallow suggest you want to stay with the softer bullets.. The SST is softish and they perform well. the eldx and the 100gf interlocks i would suggest are a bit stout for these...

Can’t go wrong with the 100gr Hornady. One load to kill anything at any reasonable distance. That’s what Dave McClunie used to kill all his Wapiti and many bull Tahr with.

100 grain Hornady, either BTSP or Flat base. I've shot hundreds (at least a couple of hundred) of deer with them. They just work. At the moment I'm using 87 grain Hornady for smaller stuff, Sika,...

The point with lever actions, and particularly the Winchester 94'in .30/30, Winchester / Rossi 92 and the Marlin, is not that you can shoot fast with them, although they are faster than a bolt...

BLR in .308/243 etc has to be about the quickest and most accurate.....a scoped 30/30 or 44 magnum or 357mag in that order after that....although I BELIEVE Henry have put out a lever action...
