    i hunt with a 270, i have no issues dropping deer from 20m to 500m, a good shoulder/lower neck shot will drop any deer on the spot. i used factroy soft point ammo bought from any hunting store...

    Get some practice killing 2ltr milk jugs at 300, if possible shooting awkward angles off awkward positions doing it. Shots under 200 are common, but so are shots at 400.

    Here is my one. It's along similar lines, although a bit more agricultural than yours. A steel frame and dedicated motor are future mods, I still just use a drill to drive it. 28224
