   Unless you’re experienced and can take pretty fine measurements, most people back off from lands 20 thou (0.5mm) and start playing with seating depth from there.

   That's the amount of powder burnt in the barrel, surprised me that by the slower powder all burnt but it's a pretty compressed charge.

   I Have refitted the cap and tightened the three allen keys. Reckon they were a little loose. Now I can say it definitely has 3 clicks in either direction then it stops and you ll break something...

    22" barrel shouldn't cause problems for what you're hoping to do. I'm chucking a 186 Berger VLD @3050fps out of a 21.5" barrel. Win M70, 168VLD, Fed 215 primer, Norma brass and 74.5gn 2225
