    My 2017 d-max 6 speed manual with 44kms tows our caravan or boat effortlessly. Off to Sth Island for 6 weeks very shortly, but will have extra service done prior. No issues at all so far.

    Suggest you go to Onemana en route to Whangamata. Beach access will require a bit of a walk unless you drive right to the end of road. Sandy bottom that should produce snapper and gurnard.
