grandpamac, I have a citadel martini rebarrelled in 38/55 with a Tony Hawkins barrel, I'm not allowed to use it in open sights competitions at my local club anymore, it's too accurate.

Many years ago I had a few shots with a friends Remington Hepburn in 38-55. Later I looked at a Martini rebarrelled to 38-55. Regrettably neither resides in my gun cupboard. Just typing this is...

If your going to shoot smokeless then a marlin in .375 win is an option. Older win 94 commemoratives were also made in .38/55. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Get the .38-55. I dont know why I dont already have one dammit. Uberti are excellent quality in every way. You are not obliged to shoot BP in .38-55 but I will think less of you for not. (Why not...

Pain of a calibre for BP, always cleaning the barrel, nice in nitro. I know where there’s a double trifle in this calibre, would be great set up for hunting, it’s a hammer, but using nitro in it at...

I think he wants a lever gun Copy of Model 1894 Winchester in 38-55 made by Uberti Not a 1885 rolling block "Scandi Bogan cannon"

Jt89 I'm using 222 for long range rabbit sniping and highly recommend the accuracy of the caliber. I'm out to 242m so far and am confident I'll get to 300 this year. The rifle is certainly capable of...

You can't go to far wrong with anything under 60lb especially if its clean kill. Ageing or standing is not necessary, will be tender as, without the strong taint that older animals can sometimes...

200 will stableised in 1:10 so will a big fat 250 gr if you can find any. Why they chose 1:12 as std for the 308 rather than the 1:10 of the 3006 it replaced remains a mystery
