In the early days of 284 popularity in F Class the Yanks said the 284 likes "good" clearance. I could never work out how a cartridge could have the intelligence to know it needed good clearance....

I was also using CCI when having light strikes and moved to Federal and not 1 since. I have federal Magnum primers here and maybe some LR primers too you can try if you want to

Would not be lose primmer pockets? As the pin strikes it pushes the primmer into the pocket? I’m thinking no as then it would fire the next time around but….maybe?

Have a rem 700 that produces light strikes too with CCI 450's and less frequently with Federal 205's. Lightweight firing pin and stiffer spring didn't make any difference - maybe even made it worse....

Federal claim 2820fps from a 24" barrel. I chrono'd it in a Remington 700 22" barrel at just on 2800fps so was happy enough with that.
