Ground Control liked post by JohnDuxbury On thread : Old School No Suppressor No Brake
The loudest firearms I have fired were revolvers. No trouble with hunting rifles unless youre dumb enough to shoot one inside a car - or - standing right next to a building or a wall.... Never...

Another one of my projects, a new stock for my old Winchester 70 fwt in .30/06. To me the Winchester model 70 was always the handsomest of rifles. She always shot well, any weight of bullet into...

First - trickle the powder into the case slowly so they granules separate out - they pack down lower that way. If you just dump a load in, it will come up higher than if you trickle it in slowly....

I like how he plans his climbing so if he falls he always lands on his balls. Norway is a tough character.

Micky Duck liked post by JohnDuxbury On thread : Where to measure barrel length?
It depends on the individual rifle. You will get as much variation between the same rifle with the same length barrel than the difference an inch shorter barrel might give, till you start getting...

I've only got 2730 fps to work with, with the powders I have. My fastest load is 2784 with a different powder, but the accuracy goes to hell. (The most accurate is 2677 fps.) But seriously, I am...

Aaah, I got plenty of other rifles. That's not really the point. I am not wondering whether I can do it, I am just interested in what people think of those particular bullets. (meaning the 70 grain...
