    was he there because of hinds being there or was he there because it was a good feed area - they will always be there if its a good feed area and more so if its a nice quiet spot

    I use a $275 magpul with a Picatinny adaptor. Great set up. Only set back is that you need a screw driver to attach and put back. But you can get a m-lock model and an adaptor for your stock.

    Picatinny adaptor? Not super light or super quick, but better than the standard Harris attachment system and cheap.

    Acculong (Google search them) do a atlas style bipod that uses a picatinny quick release. It's nowhere near as light as a backlanz, mtn, Spartan but much cheaper and actually pretty decent.
