still going well in the northern tararuas(deep) as of yesterday.as good as I have ever heard.i think it was the missed second hind cycle as the stags were going at each other hard middle of the day.

the extra size of the long skinny hole = less resistance to push same weight out the end of it..projectile will be shorter with less bearing surface. 7mm-08 150grn with imr4895 max of 40grns...

I used to hunt in just about any weather. Not any more. I'm a fine weather hunter now. I go to enjoy the hunt, not feel miserable. If I shoot something it's a bonus. Results have not changed much.

Speer HC are excellent pills, easy to find accurate load (like most flat base cup n core projectiles) & devastating performance on game - provided the shooter does their bit in placement
