    Nearly 24% more bore volume. 7mm bore area is 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.141 = 38.5 mm2 8mm is 4 x 4 x 3.141 = 50.25 mm2 Can't escape the maths

the extra size of the long skinny hole = less resistance to push same weight out the end of it..projectile will be shorter with less bearing surface. 7mm-08 150grn with imr4895 max of 40grns...

I used to hunt in just about any weather. Not any more. I'm a fine weather hunter now. I go to enjoy the hunt, not feel miserable. If I shoot something it's a bonus. Results have not changed much.

Speer HC are excellent pills, easy to find accurate load (like most flat base cup n core projectiles) & devastating performance on game - provided the shooter does their bit in placement

Yup, agreed. Have a chilli bin waiting in your car then just pop to the nearest gas station and buy some ice on your way to the butcher. Sent using Tapatalk

I usually shoot deer, break down the deer on the spot i.e. take back legs off, back steaks, front legs (if not too mangled). Walk back to the closest hut with legs still with skin on, hang them up to...

No doubt the 7mm08 is effective well past 400 yards and goes past the 270 once you get well out there because of the slippery162 projectiles. The 08 is much easier to shoot both at paper and on...
