Good choice. Definitely the way to go. I tried all the Leupolds outside the shop for about an hour and they just couldn't compete with the Leica's on any level at all. I also went with the 1600's...

Yeah it does make it a fair bit quieter. I think mine was one of those soft rubber ones, can't remember the name or brand. Just hear a click really now with subs.
