    I don't have a thermal, and never used one for hunting. I still get enough deer. There will always be some that use them, even on doc land illegal or not, but I would rather that than choppers...

    A hand held thermal only provides an indicator than an animal may be in the area similar to an indicating hunting dog. Unless the animal is standing out like dogs bollocks in front of you binoculars...
