    My best fluke was rabbit hunting, my mate had the spot light (a car spot light and a car battery in a back pack) I had my Ruger 10/22. We walk over a ridge and two rabbits run off in two directions....

    Keeps water out, also keeps debris out, agree with above no need to remove. Usually have some electrical tape wrapped around my stock always handy

    Good old 22-250, the heads the same plus if you ever need it ammo is everywhere unlike a 22 243 get a fast twist so you can chuck heavier pills as well and everything from rabbits to deer is sorted.

    I’ve done it on heaps of rifles. Most of the time it works just fine. It gives you a pretty good idea of where to concentrate your 3 or 5 shot groups at the desired velocity depending on case...
