You could get 1 made that was an extension so the internal and external threads don't interfere with each other, problem is that would add 20-25mm of length and extra wobble.

You'll be hard pressed to get that size, the core of M14x1 is 12.9mm so that leaves bugger all once you put a 1/2" (12.7mm) thread in in.

On my old ute I ran a wire from an earth to the coil, hide the wires and place the switch somewhere out of the way. Simple & very effective.
