Nugget connaisseur liked post by grandpamac On thread : Changing a Remmington 700 from .270 to .308
Greetings, The two rounds have different magazine lengths so you could possibly run into feeding problems with the .308. It would be better to sell the .270 and buy a .308 or convert the .270 to...

Haha, I’ve got a single shot 308 with open sights that shoots to 100m or so. I don’t see the need to run full power rounds. I know these projectiles have had mixed results at sub speeds but maybe at...

The powder that gives the highest velocity in a long barrel will also give the highest velocity in a short barrel, so powder choice is the same as what you'd usually pick.

Yes at a pinch it will work, but a 16" 308 isn't the best tool for the job for 500m shooting, 500m is a loooong way for hunting. On paper it will work energy wise, but wind will be the real kicker...

Such a pitty Howa buggered the mini with a single stack magazine and badly designed magazine catch, those 2 things kind of cancel out its smooth action and great trigger. I own both, 223 Ruger and...

This is why Kiwis are God's children - you just could not leave anything of value, let alone a firearm, hanging outside a hut or unattended in a hut while you went off somewhere else. It simply...

Cats have a place as pets. In the home, on someones property, but that's it. Let it wander off your property and its fair game. Just like a wandering dog: impound. Wandering cat, kinetically impound....

It's not so much age so much affecting powders viability as the storage conditions. Appropriately stored it can last decades. I know a handloader in Dubai who was gifted some Egyptian ammo more than...

IF I can buy bismith loads for .12ga I can scavenge the shot and reload it into .410 IF the normal lead wads are enough...... and for the small amount of loads that would get used,it would be ok........

Regarding the "officer on duty" thing for casual use. It really does not need to be as complex as most guys are making it. HVNZDA have been running a system for several years where we have an...
