Apparently its an insert that fits inside the 8x56r clips to allow the 7.92x57 round to be used in the Yugoslav M95M conversions. They go for good $$$ on ebay.

I use the same set up. Works well if it fits your torch. I got mine direct from aliexpress pre covid. Got a couple of extra mounts so can swap torch between rimfire and centrefire as required.
