I love how the laws of physics tend to go out the window with these discussions, particularly regarding recoil....

Can't disagree with much that has been posted above. Mk70 and Mk10 share the same action, but Mk10 gets the adjustable position trigger, Invector Plus chokes or Briley thin-walls dependent on era,...

Preacher liked post by PaulNZ On thread : Can I still hunt with a 4 shot Browning BAR
Looking at the Browning website, the BAR looks to have a specific magazine and not the same as A-bolt/A-bolt II/AB3/X-bolt etc. Maral may well have the same magazine though. So Browning bolt-rifles...

I go for leupold ringmounts when looking for a neat option in 11mm dovetail. Check ringalignment when mounted and then lap them in lightly - you won't mar scope tubes and no need for plastic inserts.

takbok liked post by PaulNZ On thread : Possible bedding compound??
I've used it; 105 resin/205 hardener and 404 high density filler. Mixed nice and thick with a bit of black pigment added for cosmetics. Worked well. Quite a few people do use it internationally,...

I don't think I'd so the shotgun route when buying for someone else - choosing one to 'fit' correctly is a personal thing. If it doesn't fit he won't shoot well with it, and it won't really matter...

That'll be slow rust bluing, often regarded as the best method and certainly the most work, but it wont give a high gloss result. Hot caustic bluing with a lot of pre-polishing for high gloss, if...
