If you have a bad enough injury a couple of panadol isn't going to much i can tell you that from first hand experience, the only thing the panadol do help with is taking the bite out of a headache...

i would of stabbed it and seen, but likely just a localised infection from being stabbed by a branch or thorn and its healed up around it trapping the gunk inside.
