Gidday, I’ve been bashing around the bush in the north island, mainly (Kaimanawas and Pureoras) with my gun and mates for a few years now, Starting to take it a bit more seriously with the older...

Pretty average. I don’t wear them when stalking, only when it’s really pissing down.

Phil_H I have used them, but prefer the under $100 bucks German Army Flecktarn jackets version & have worn them for years hunting around the world , (also have the pants for spotlighting etc...

Pete_D liked post by 6x47 On thread : Shelves for reloading bench... what?
You can get away with narrow shelf spacing if there's little room. All depends how much crap you need to have at hand. You need a separate bookcase either way. This is my actual loading bench which I...

Following on from spitifres comments, ELD-X and short range and ELD-M for long range but they have difference load data, I would just pick 1 good average bullet and develop great bullet placement...

NABLR for a Grendel? Much better options than that, and the high BC is wasted, plus they are very expensive for shooting goats. It’s a bonded projectile and not a great long range design as it relies...

The projectile hasn't failed in doing its job at the end of the day You could go heavier if you're worried about penitration like has been said earlier. But it hasn't failed because it killed the...

Again, too subjective jamesgn8. X-Bolts come in a huge variety of shapes / sizes / styles. Try shooting offhand with a suppressed X-Bolt Hell’s Canyon. The main difference in balance and feel...

Pretty typical for the sst to come apart, only a problem if lacking sectional density and hence penetration. Going up in weight may give more penitration and more consistent performance .

I know with the 7m08 the 139sst generally is a Good option so in a 6.5 the 123 SST would make sense. There is no one wonder bullet and we have different expectations. Some want a bullet to do...

Looks fine. I quite often find as you increase the charge the group tightens up. I would be inclined to find out what near max is first, you will start seeing an extractor imprint on the head of the...

I reckon any fool who would have taken that shot is more likely to miss at any range. Dam straight that dudes licence, gun and balls should have been confiscated on the spot.
