I've used two main loads over the past 10 years. 140gr BT - devastating. End of discussion. 162gr Amax - equally as good, just longer legs.

Yes. I run the 162gr Amax at 2640fps using AR2208. It has proven itself to be an effective combination having taken animals from point blank to 550 yards.

I've owned a 7/08 for a while now. Had good success with the140gr BT and now, the 162gr Amax.
