Don't get hung up on the twist rate, 1:10 twist will stabilise most bullets up to 100 grain and Targex 105s. That hollow point load from earlier sounds like a winner.

I'm going to go with some big pieces of angle iron bolted to the joists. Coach bolts all round should keep it tidy  a mate has volunteered to get under the house, I simply don't fit through...

Mk2 Dpt magnum cans come back 170mm, how far does yours come back? Work that out and you'll have your answer.

Don't take any short cuts mate, just load a ladder from smallest to largest charge in half grain increments to find out where you're going to run into pressure. That's range trip one. Then load a few...

Also be aware most of the cheapies are not waterproof, fairly important in the land of the long white cloud.

I had good results with the Hornady 162 ELD-X near and far (longest was a chamois at 500 yards, shortest was several goats at 50 or less) but people have had some very mixed results. You want to hit...

Something in the 160 weight class will kick arse. It'll kill anything in the land of the long white cloud out to a long way. You don't need to go any heavier than that but as said above you can go...

Both scopes are very good, myself and a mate have vx5s, another mate has the v4. No complaints from anyone, but me lol the duplex reticle on my firedot is quite thick compared to what I'm used to....

It's also a lot of coin tied up in optics, good place to spend it but like kelton has said above-if you need some cash and can get by without the scope then you can replace a scope later.

It's the bullet. Unless your mate has an 8 twist he's pushing shit uphill. I see it's all been said above, you're onto it now.
