I know I was surprised as well. I did up a ladder and just kept going up until I got pressure then came back half a grain. Turns out it shot really well too, happy days.

2208 is the business in 243. I used it with 105 grain Targex pills to get 2950fps out of a 20 inch barrel. This was a Truflite barrel that was pretty fast. Nice and accurate too, had it clover...

+1 on the W760, very cheap from Belmont in Wanganui. Load for my mate's 270 and it goes good with 130 grain hornady interlocks, yet to try any other projectiles in it.117402k That's 3 shots at...

If you are priming on a press (even on some hand primers) using shell holders to hold shells, not all shell holders are created equal.

Not today, last night. Got a handful of 165 grain btsp interlocks off a mate, loaded them to same overall length as factory stuff that shoots really well in my wsm. Test them out tomorrow. ...

Very educational, I like that he actually went out and tested the theory too. That horizontal stringing is typical of a fouled barrel that needs cleaning. My howa 308 used to do it if I didn't...

I think that a seating depth test is pointless if you already had the best seating depth to start with. This is 4 shots at the start of a seating depth test after I had decided on a charge weight....

Autosol on a patch wrapped around a worn brush back and forth at the chamber end will get the carbon ring gone. Ideally you check it with a bore scope/endoscope, cheap as chips off the internet, $50...
