I have a good load using 178gn ELDX over 42 gn AR2208/ Norma brass. 2620fps / 25" bbl. Knock about 30fps per inch reduction in bbl length. 2.86" COAL in my chamber.

If you can push them around 2,300fps+ they should stabilise, otherwise marginal.

Greetings, Shot some comparative loads of IMR4064 (old manufacture) and AR2208 in my .308 yesterday. IMR4064 chronographed faster than AR2208 so a bit of caution might be required in your 7mm-08....

Hornady list IMR 4064 with a 162 grain from 32.3 to 39.6 very close to 2208, I used it years ago for target loads in .308's with 168 MK great powder a little coarse grained
