    Copper tig welds really well, but welding with silfoss will be fine. If you get it hot enough in use to melt silfoss you’ll have other problems to worry about.

    You can fill it with sand and heat and bend, or use a plumbers spring if yo can find one of that diameter

    Looks good. I'd stick with the BLO too. If it was end grain then it might be worth sealing more thoroughly, but otherwise you might as well match the exterior for water resistance. Idle musing...

    Boiled linseed will be fine - mix a tiny amount of turps with first coat-linseed will soak in better - suggest light sand first to remove any dirt etc
