I’ve only ever used a Mercator in the bush, if it’s sharp you’re less likely to slide onto the blade. I guess I’ve grown up using tools carefully.

I tested the gear over the last couple of days in some pretty horrific weather. I had constant rain, hail, sleet and snow over two days in South Otago. I can happily report that the jacket kept me...

I met Fitzy on a long range shooting course. I was impressed by his commitment to bringing quality outdoor gear to NZ. His background is military and he's also a hunter so he knows what works and...

I love shooting both. The accuracy of a rifle at range and the brute force of a shotgun appeal to me. Add a pistol into the mix and I am as happy as a pig in a paddock full of new born lambs.

Had a big reply which I'd typed up and managed to lose. Still getting the hang of the forum. I see the value of the heirloom quality gear and have had a peek through a few in the shops. Also...

You make a good point. I also bought some vortex's because I can't honestly tell the difference between them and a pair of Swarovski's. I used to be able to tell the difference between the optical...
