Are you sure you are not confusing a M96 Carl Gustav and Mauser 98? A M98 will soak up loads that will grenade Tikka/Sako/Remington actions. A M96 is unsafe with 8X57 IS for example

There's a guy in Whangarei who makes a suppressed 410 as well. Incredibly quiet, less noise than my pcp. They cost around $1k.

Ive shot dozens of them with my 6.5x55 using 140 grn Amax and Sierra. Out to 500 yards. They can sometimes be slow killers past 300-350 yds (with lung shots especially). But certainly all you need.

I have a full length suppressor on a single shot Yildiz 410 shotgun. Quiet and safe re ricochet risk. In my opinion the best option for lifestyle blocks bar none. I am killing rabbits out to 30m....

I use the 140 Sierra game king spitzers never had any reason to change the powders always been 2208 but 2206h seem to be fine as well, and as I use a lot of it it would pay to rationalize I guess.

Yes i thought the good old 455 Webly would be an obvious choice. The flash an blast from a short rifle would be one thing but as you point out the fumes would also be unpleasant.
