I'm addicted to 40 series and doing an over the top rebuild on a bj45. The 3f is not a bad engine but no power house. Do you intend on keeping it in there? Pic of my 45221728

I think your mate is capable of long shots when schooled properly and using proven gear in the right conditions as you have shown, maybe if he settled into a lot more practice he would be alright and...

I thought the main purpose of carbon wrapped barrels was the separate the average punter from the contents of his wallet :pacman:

I think that the shot placement choice was the pivotal decision with taking the stag. A shot in the neck is a dead stag or a miss. Looking at the photo which shows the bullet wound, there is no...

Looks and sounds good from my perspective. This has nothing to do with ethics in my opinion (it's a by-product of the end result), but more to do with skill level and shooting technique of the...

If the answer is yes, then you obviously have no ethical problem with taking that shot. If you are asking yourself "Hmmm. Should I have taken that? Did I just get lucky?" then there may be reason to...

Nice work! Only you can judge the ethics of the shot as you're the only one who knows the full context. Steven Rinella said something along the lines of 'If you're surprised to have hit it then...

I think you already know the answer to your question Scott. If you thought the shot was "unethical" Im sure you wouldn't have made it. Thats the answer. You made a clean humane kill. End of story. ...

Before I decide on the ethics of the shot, please tell us what was your plan in case it took off with a missing lower jaw?

If you have practiced shooting at that range and are confident then I guess it's all good. Also a 6.5 what??? If it was me it would be unethical. I havent got the gear or experience to shoot...
