   No it won't - encapsulating wood in fibreglass and epoxy has been standard practice in boatbuilding for decades.

    Totally agree and maybe a bit around the action. Its going to grow a bit when wrapped. I guess keep going until it just feels like you went a touch to far and the wrap should bring it back right....
