    I think you already know the answer to your question Scott. If you thought the shot was "unethical" Im sure you wouldn't have made it. Thats the answer. You made a clean humane kill. End of story. ...

    If you have practiced shooting at that range and are confident then I guess it's all good. Also a 6.5 what??? If it was me it would be unethical. I havent got the gear or experience to shoot...

    Agree with the posts above, but there's a lot of free and relatively easy to obtain meat running around in the hills. Don't waste it, adjust your cooking style. Bumblefoot has some excellent recipes...

    I've done the mag release spring jam-something-in trick, it works well. Shortened LOP and reduced weight with a jandel recoil pad. Intend to make a short magazine as well.
