As Beetroot said, short pralaz is the key for rimfire scopes. Vortex Venom etc might be worth a look. If you could mention magnification range and expected price that would help a lot to narrow...

How much do you want to spend? Any Mrad scope will work just fine for a 22lr, parallax that adjusts down to 25 yards can be an advantage but there are lots of scopes that'll do that. I do lots of...

Hmm - if you don't want to spend megabucks - the Sightron scopes work pretty well dialing on 22's, I run a couple of the S111's but you don't have to go to that grade. Another very nice scope for a...

I see a lot of competitive shooters running ZCO 5-27 scopes on their Vudoo V22 or Rimx. ZCO5-27 has heaps of elevation (35mil) with 0.1mil/click turrent, if budget is not your major concern.

I run a Leupold VX5 3-15x44 Firedot Duplex reticle on my 6.5creedmoor Tikka for exactly what you're trying target shooting / hunting combo, good magnification, clear glass and adjustable parallax for...

Yeah mate Shane's ate its self a few years ago on the tops and I had one that wouldn't hold zero despite loving Swarovski gear. The other thing I noticed when doing lots of guiding was some people...

Yes, I did this about 10 years ago, too. If it's your Go To hunting rifle then you need to prioritise hunting features. ie brand quality, ruggedness, easy to see reticle. For some daft reason,...

Depends what target shooting you are doing. 99% of the time 18x is more than enough magnification, often in field shoot/PRS event's you'll use 8-12x most of the time anyway but there is the odd...

I think magnification is a bit like horse power. Always nice to have a bit in reserve even if you don't always need it. I see delta do a 5-50x56. Should suit the little rascal.22 nicely

Shot this @ 600yds off pikau with 6.5*55 S&L hunting rifle and VX5 2-10*42 recently. IMO 10x is plenty for most shooting. (The high shot was my fault 159140

High magnification ( over 18 power ) isn’t necessary for hunting or targets in my opinion. I know that’s not a widely held belief in this modern world , but I believe it’s true . None of my hunting...

Just be careful with a FFP for a hunting scope if you any type of bush hunting, if it's not illuminated you will be searching for the reticle/cross hair in low light. Try before you buy. I lost 3...

There are a lot of good scopes for around $1500 but not too many FFP ones that'd make for a good hunting scope. I think an FFP 3-18 scope would be well suited for your intended use but find one with...

For relatively light weight, great optics and zoom flexibility, a 3.5-18x44 Z5 would fit the bill. Being a target shooter as well, I feel you need at least 18 to do the job in that arena. 12-15 just...
