   i also learnt on air rifles first and used to shoot mice on the rafters of the shed with teatree seeds haha then we moved on to shooting each other with the seeds..... good old days

   I wouldnt recomend a tasco mate would be pritty much the same as a GC no brander, Stick with a nikko stirling and buy the most expensive one for your budget, e.g. dont think your gonna get a better...
