    I wouldn't bother with a heavy barrel for 223. The hole down the middle is so small any barrel is a "heavy" barrel.

    I had one similar and just dialed using those turrets. Got me out past 600yds no problems. There are now some turrets that can be fitted in their place. Someone else hopefully will give some more...
