The other option is one of the super zoom cameras. Take a photo on 60x and then you can zoom in on the photo even more. I don't carry a spotter anymore.

The 120 NBT is actually thicker/heavier at tip compared to the 140 NBT. They use the same cup but shorten it for the 120 NBT. I've got/had a picture somewhere showing it.
