It looks identical to the 243 I aquired for my father a few years back. Good find alright. It'll be 1:12. But if it shoots anything like my dad's 243 of the same era, it'll be a keeper.

Iv got a Nikko Stirling Octa(not in yr reguest but a bit of free info for you) 2x16x50.illuminated red or green dot.Dials very accurate,takes my 308 out to 600yds moa.Nice glass and retical,30 tube....

I had a 243 with that type of stock back around 84-85, nice rifle, from memory had an 18 inch barrel. That one looks in good nick so should shoot well, back from when Remingtons were good shooters.
