nor-west liked post by Tentman On thread : Sako 85 issue
Its so bloody unfortunate that such fine products such as Tikka and Sako are owned by plonkers like Beretta - its not just a NZ problem, happens everywhere, and the nuppties that run it here are no...

If you're thinking of a flight then Doughboy is a great suggestion, probly nothing better for the "real" Stewart Is and fishing, you might even find some ambergris . . . .

Have a yarn to all the main hunting party operators (including Southern Air), often they'll combine a trip (especially for two of you) with a big party and you can get a bit further away for your...

Tommy liked post by Tentman On thread : Owl optics/Howa Mini action rail
I had a 20 MOA EGW rail on mine (since sold) and it worked fine and looked way better than the shitty mounts they come with which overlap the ejection port (a pet hate of mine), I got it locally and...

Frodo liked post by Tentman On thread : Anyone used a Mauser 66?
A cobber has a couple (that he shoots but doesn't hunt with). They shoot pretty good and apart from the styling are the equal of an R93 in my opinion (not that that counts for much - either the...

Quickload says Max with 2206H and 180 gn projs is 42.0 gn's for nearly 2600 fps (from a 24.5" barrel) - a very snorty but well balanced load I'd say with all powder burnt - Its MAX so work up to it....

Bit late to this thread but some interesting stuff. My dad was a muster and culler (Sth Is) in the early 50's) and always had a great interest in "knibbies", he always had a few drying and one on...

I've just recently been "out and about" in public areas with a couple of rifles, both in bags, from Wellington to Invercargill without a second glance from anybody. Generally I'd be wary of cities...
