Nothing wrong with an older rifle if it's well looked after and a suitable caliber. I'd take an old 270 in good condition over a brand new Mossberg any day

Buy something that is guaranteed to shoot, without you having to try 20 different ammo brands (at 70+ per box) - tikka fits that bill. But there are others nowadays A proper known to shoot well...
