If you're new to this game you'd be best to sight your rifle in at 100 yards - it should be 2 inches high; as Cam said. It will then dead 'dead on' at 200 yards and good to just 'point and shoot'...

As VC said. I sight in for 1.8" high at 100m to put me zero at 200m. Anything between me and 250m goes bang flop
