Don't overthink it. A T3 308 win at 16" (with suppressor) and factory ammo will do exactly what you ask of it. As will many other rifle/cartridge combinations. Get it and get out hunting.

It's pretty easy measurement to take. With the bolt closed, drop a cleaning rod down the barrel, use tape to mark the muzzle, measure length of rod from tape to end.
