not neccesary but I would avoid very bright clothing colours - just dull greens black even dark blue - I wont wear blaze orange if it gets wet and half light its to much like a red deer in colour...

Yes thats right. Your dialling will work exactly as if there is no clip-on attached. I think that its a very cool system but it can be frustrating to set up. Especially I think for us old farts.
