I stand correcited however a theoretical 2/10 of an inch difference in drop at 500 yards between going uphill or down hill doesn't make any difference to your point of aim in practical terms.

I’ve done the calcs using TBR compared to the actual range, angle, pressure etc. pretty much no difference out to 650ish yds, which is as far as I’ve shot it.

Suggest you go to Onemana en route to Whangamata. Beach access will require a bit of a walk unless you drive right to the end of road. Sandy bottom that should produce snapper and gurnard.
