If the deer are a problem and they want them gone or reduced then I would shoot whatever stands in front of you. If you can shoot the hind and fawn then great otherwise I wouldn't lose sleep over it...

I had a Bergara to fix that did a similar thing, blew the mag up & the extractor off, can't recall the ammo but it had blown out just by the head/rim Put everything back together & it was as good...
