I've had a good run with hardys. I'll give him the opportunity to sort it and if so I would still buy another. Anyone's products can have faults it's all about how company's deal with them that...

Wont loose accuracy just velocity. I reackon 16 is a bit short in a 243. 18" will still be a nice handy bush gun with still a bit of range in the tank.

The shooter was an experienced hunter as is the case with many other shootings in the bush. Hard to see how it happens but it does. A reminder to us all about the need to be careful every time you go...

Suppressors on big guns are dumb. Too big and long. I had a Hardy on my 7mmRUM worked fine. Get a brake instead.

If you are definitely going to reload the 6.5x55 is good. Other wise just get a 7mm08. Hornady superformance ammo shooting SST's will get you out to 400 easy. Factory ammo for 6.5x55 is mostly loaded...

If you want to go short the bigger the bore the better! My .338Fed is 14.5" 45gn of 2206H and pushes a 200gn BT at 2500. I really really love it. Kills emphatically. Shit just dies of...

Do it James! Nothing on paper compares to the way animals just fall over dead. 200gn BTs at 2500 is devastating (14.5" barrel) Kills better than my RemMag hands down at under...
