   Back in the 1970's a 10 day trip used to require our packs weighed 65 ish lbs. Thats 29kgs in metrics. Thats no fancy synthetics etc. Rifle was on top of that. So with all the flash harry clothing...

   Well I still have it, (that photo's about 1993). Purchased when I was 18, so mine is 44 years old...so sturdy enough to have gone around the globe three times, got to 21,500ft in Nepal, been hauled...
