Three shots test the load. Five shots test the shooter. Not many shoots can consistently hold the same shoulder pressure in a hunting rifle for 5 shots.

WOW!
Paul.
This has been a fantastic read. You are very talented. I read with interest because I have an Anschutz 1712 22.
I competed for years with Bryns bullets. They hold many NZDA nation records.
Barrel break-in is the biggest load of shit ever published. Just shoot it and keep it clean in between. I have had ultra match barrels and factory barrels. Never broke them in.
Then I guess you are now doing "pest control"
If you can get out and measure actual bullet drop, chronograph is irrelevant. Just check you actual drop at 2-3 ranges and tweak your velocity or BC in your app to be correct with actual drop.
Yet you purchased a farm with a legal paper road on it. Best thing ANY farmer can do with a paper road through their farm is clearly mark where you want people to walk. If you have gated/fenced for...
Thats because it was tested in court. NZDA won!
If I owned a farm with a UPR I would have signs up, clearly mark the route and try to work with people to avoid crap. Yes you are trying to make a living....BUT you have a "legal" paper road running...
I agree that poachers are scum and ruin a lot for everyone. I'm not sure if 4WD access is a legal requirement on paper roads? But, the "legal" paper road is there. Anyone purchasing a farm should...
Bryn can also play with the ogive and meplat when he makes them.
Im interested
I have represented NZ using TARGEX projectiles. They have set NZ records....awesome projectiles...
awesome!!!!
I have an Anschutz 1712 with a VX36.5-20 and I have just taken delivery today of a Lithgow LA101 .22.....looking forward to playing with it hopefully this weekend.
Will do. The moment I secure 2 boxes of 135s I will part with these
No thanks. I already have 135 Bergers
Oh poo....yes 135s
I have two boxes of 100 6.5 143 ELDX that I would like to swap for 6.5 Berger 165 Classic hunters. No I will not sell them.
They are designed for 3 Positional shooting. I have spent a few years using one when I was competing. Awesome for standing and kneeling practice. Save me thousands in ammo. But I would suggest a...
I have a 6.5 PRC. I am now using 135 Berger classic hunters @ 3200fps. First kill was a decent red stag a 450 yards. I ran about 20lm then dropped. I have shot a few goats at close range. The seem...
That was probably Brenda at the NZDA shoot
If I can ever get my hands on some ill tell you. The ammo crises has taught me to keep my options open. I'm always tinkering.
My 6.5PRC shot .3 or less with both. Superformance gave me better velocity....100fps
