Yep, there is a wire clip in a slot in the hammer that hold the pin in real tight.
The after market ALG QMS trigger has the same.
Use plenty of lube when you get round to reinstalling.

The forward assist is pretty redundant on a straight pull, as the BCG won't be getting full of carbon from the gas like the semi auto AR.
I think I only ever used it once or twice on my 6.5 Gre AR...
Note, the bottom of the upper receiver and the top of the lower are angled at the join, not perpendicular.
This will be one of the reasons why NZPHQ permitted the rifles, as due to the angle, they...
I dont mind the butt stock design, so am happy with the buffer tube as is.
My late Spikes and Aero ARs had wobble between the upper and lower.
I've put a Magpul pistol grip on and kept the factory...
And the pistol grip screw is a smaller size than milspec!
The .22lr drop in kit will suck for accuracy due to the 1 in 7 twist.
Dedicated .22lr ARs have a twist of 1 in 16.
If you want to change the trigger, just be aware the factory trigger hammer pin...
Courier finally delivered. But lord knows where the subsequent orders for more P-Mags, ALG QMS trigger, Eemann competition trigger spring and a new M-Lok bipod attachment will be delivered by the...
Make sure you lube up the BCG nice and wet. Same as the evil version.
As the charging handle will get used more than the evil version, lube up that and the receiver channel it goes in too.
Sweet.
Aramex are f**king around with mine, as usual.
You should be getting it sent to a licensed gun dealer. You put your details on the form, ie name, tel, email, FAL number etc.
But the c/o DELIVERY address is the dealer its getting sent to. And...
Mine is on the way to my local via the dealer network.
Hopefully have an initial unboxing report and range christening report coming soon.
Good reason to not use an ACOG.
I shoot with my stock fully extended.
An ASRA shooter has the Warwick arms straight pull.
Very nice, but the NZ retail price from GUNSNZ is eye watering.
No you are on the right track.
I don’t have an AR anymore. So can’t check even with a normal charging handle.
You have some on P don’t you?
Can't see why not. As long as you have the carbine stock extended out.
Look at left hand charging Warwick Arms standing.

Delta Mike just advised consignment is departing the US on the 11th. Air cargo I believe.
I have Vari-Xiii 3.5-10 LRT M3, the forerunner to the Mark 4 in a Vortex 30mm mount.
More practical than an ACOG.

Silly me handed my CMMG .22lr 14" barrel, bolt, charging handle, shell deflector, Black dog mags in, as part of a dedicated AR.
Duh.
DM is taking next weekend off (24-26), so Murphy's law they will arrive on the 26th!
Running 6 weeks late due to delays with export permits from US. They should be on the way to NZ now.
I paid in full when I ordered.
But not from GC though?
As the workmanship on theirs was by blind 80 year old Chinese grandmothers.
I took off my carry handle/rear sights etc and handed them in separately for more $.
I had forgotten about that abomination. :XD:
Well, building a decent AR (even a straight pull) shouldn't be too hard. Norinco excluded.
Unfortunately I got rid of all my AR accessories in the steal back. :(
Suppressors, 10 round mags, ACOG and Vortex prism scopes and scope mounts etc.
All gone. :(
So I’m putting my Loopy 3.5-10...
