I'm at last onto the minute shavings from the rim thing,the extractor under a magnifying glass appears to have a very fine sharp bit,enough to scrape the rim.
I also checked out the last few rounds...

They are around 2875 fps,out of a factory 18 inch barrel. .260 caliber.

Head space you say,guess I should get it checked by someone with the appropiate gauge,finding someone may be a while off though.

I have a similar problem and have had for a long time.Although the primers are looking ok ,not too flattend and not too crated.
