So far so good, under moa with 2 factory loads. Will spend more time with it in time but for now it needs to go and be put to use!
Well that stuff lasted 35 years of abuse didnt it! My devcon is not the tidiest job but it works!

Thanks, $350 for the lot. I had to dismantle it all myself but it was easy enough to do. Sam at Cerakote NZ was great to deal with, we coated everything down to the scope ring screws.

Yep, I’ve done both of these things, so the bolt is apart and the spring removed, but i can’t find any info on taking apart the saftey and removing the firing pin from the shroud. Thanks for the help...
Ok my model 70 is all in parts and ready to be cerakoted, I’ve been told by the man I need to take apart the bolt saftey/shroud end of my bolt if I want this cerakoted. This is where my skill level...
Agreed the original was almost pointless as far as recoil reduction the limbsaver has made a huge difference to the shoulder
Can confirm its factory 22'' (measured it) from the comments thus far it seems 20'' might be my best bet
