Yeah, could definitely feel the 200 ELDXs at 2715fts .
Thought I would revive this thread from when I last posted in it.
Well, I picked up a nice Savage 110 in 30-06 and though I'd run the 200gr ELDX load through it as well. Using Superformance and...
Yep. Am looking forward to getting some results... bet my shoulder wont be too happy after 30 x 200gr loads.. haha
Mauser 98, 1:10 twist, 22" barrel.
Thanks, have loaded a few 5 shot groups, starting at 55, 55.5, 56, 56.5, 57 and 57.5 . Will be watching for pressure signs as I go (may not shoot the last group). Will also shoot them all through...
Whats the book pressure, at 56.7gr? If it is published.

Thanks guys for the advice. I have loaded a spread from 51.5 to 54gr of 2209. Weather dependant will fire and chrono them tomorrow. :)
Agree, but going to give it a go. Will start with 2209 and see how it goes. Might try 2213SC after that.

Sheesh!! I bet it was booting like a b@stard.. that a fair way over ADI max..
Am tossing up between trying 2209, 2213SC or H414. Probably get about 2500ft/s on a 22" barrel.
Not have anything else better to do, I thought I would see if I can work up a good load using Hornadys 200gr ELD-X in my trusty old Mauser 98, 30-06.
I realise that there are better pills more...
