    But yes K.E. = 1/2 m v2 indicates that like a bullet, reducing the velocity will make a big difference to force felt.

    I think that if you slow the gas down you reduce it's energy and felt recoil. Sending it backward is F***** annoying!

    I can't see how a break is going to behave much...
