I am going to have a blast up with my hunting rounds as I loaded my target rounds after this happened
Well I am almost certain they were the same haha
I believe they were both 140ssts. Seated the same, same powder weights, same primers and all my cases are prepped the same.
99648 here are 2 recently fired cases. The one on the left is definitely a shallower strike and has some sort of raised rim where as the right is just a normal crater
If I had found the rounds I would have put a pic up but no such luck. Would have fired 200+ rounds without issue but like I said what is weird is that I fired a round the morning we walked in to...
99553 Cordite all nice and shiny now. Will try put some rounds through before the weekend (the ones where I feel the primers are seated too deep) and will report back
Argh shit. That could definitely have been an issue then with touching the primers
9948899489 all seems OK. Gave the pin a wipedown but nothing really came of it. Checked the firing pin out the end of the bolt too whilst having a play and there seemed to be a reasonable amount...
OK maybe I need the pin looked at. If it is rusty anyone know how much it is to be replaced? Re the primers none are proud. Most are flush and a few are slightly deeper than the edge of the brass
Yeah mate just the standard federal primers that I always use.
Yeah aware what they should be but some are sitting just below the level of the brass. Can feel it when I touch the bottom of the brass
Mate of mine made a comment about primers being potentially seated too deep so thought I would ask. My process is deprime, reprime, fill with powder and then seat projectile. The shitty situation was...
Hey team is it possible too seat primers too deep? I have not had issues ever before in all my reloading but had 2 back to back misfires the other day in a really shitty situation. Weird thing is I...
